In 2017 two artists from Coventry were selected by Künstlerbund Dresden to participate in the 6th Dresden Arts Fair. The British Ambassador, Sir Sebastian Wood was the patron of the event.
The artists’ fair is artist led organised by Künstlerbund Dresden as part of the ROOM and STYLE trade fair.
The KünstlerMesse held a forum on Brexit, discussing how Britain leaving the EU would effect cultural and educational exchanges for Britain and Germany.
In July/–August 2017 Coventry/Dresden Arts Exchange launched their Artists in Residence, the AIR programme. Alexandra Müller, a graduate of the Dresden University of Fine Arts, was the first resident artist in Coventry working and exhibiting at Coventry Artspace’s Arcadia Gallery and Project Space.
